Benjamin Young

In AI and computer science training—including USAAIO, USACO, and software development courses—what truly sets students apart is not titles or credentials, but the ability to turn abstract ideas into clear, executable thinking.

Benjamin Young has worked with top technology, finance, and telecommunications companies in the United States as a Technical Director, Principal Engineer, and other senior leadership/management roles, bringing over 20 years of hands-on experience solving complex problems in software engineering, AI, machine learning, system/network administration, and large-scale technology systems. His broad industry experience gives students a unique perspective on how professional engineers and leaders tackle real-world challenges across multiple domains.

A graduate of Peking University and a long-time member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Benjamin combines strong theoretical foundations with practical problem-solving expertise. He understands that success in competitive programming, AI, and computer science is not about memorizing templates, but about developing structured thinking, adaptability, and confidence.

In his courses, the focus goes far beyond writing correct code:

• Understanding problems deeply before implementation
• Breaking down complex challenges into manageable, logical steps
• Developing reusable thinking patterns rather than one-off solutions
• Applying concepts to real-world scenarios in AI, computer science, and software systems

Lessons are interactive, reasoning-driven, and practice-oriented, guiding students to think like engineers and leaders—skills that help them perform steadily in competitions, build practical AI and software expertise, and grow as independent problem-solvers.

Our goal is not just to train high-scoring competitors, but to nurture students who can think independently, solve meaningful problems, and build a strong foundation for their future in AI, computer science, and software engineering.

Alex – Lead Teaching Assistant, Python & C++

Alex is the Lead Teaching Assistant for Python and C++ at Comrite, guiding students through the fundamentals of programming while helping them develop practical, hands-on coding skills. With extensive experience in Python, C++, and related development tools, Alex helps students debug code, understand core programming concepts, and build real-world projects.

Passionate about fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment, Alex focuses on making programming accessible, engaging, and empowering for all learners. Lessons under Alex’s guidance emphasize problem-solving, computational thinking, and practical application, ensuring that students not only write code but also think like engineers, preparing them for competitive programming, AI, and software development challenges.

Angie Wang – Lead Teaching Assistant, Beginner Python

Angie Wang is the Lead Teaching Assistant for Beginner Python at Comrite, guiding students through the fundamentals of Python programming with a hands-on, project-oriented approach. With extensive experience in Python and related development tools, Angie helps students debug code, grasp core programming concepts, and build practical, real-world projects.

Passionate about creating a supportive and interactive learning environment, Angie focuses on making coding accessible, engaging, and empowering for all learners. Her lessons emphasize problem-solving, computational thinking, and practical application, ensuring that students not only write code but also develop confidence and think like engineers from the very beginning.

Angie has been selected as an official ambassador for the USA AI Olympiad (USAAIO), a national organization dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence education and competition. In this role, Angie promotes AI literacy, mentor peers in emerging technologies, and advocate for ethical, responsible AI use to drive meaningful community impact. Angie is the first ambassador selected from Texas.

Jesse Xue – Lead Teaching Assistant, Beginner Python

Jesse has 4+ years of experience in programming, working with Python, C++, Java, HTML, and CSS, and has developed strong problem-solving skills across a variety of coding tasks. He has served as a teaching assistant for a Python class, where he supported students in understanding core programming concepts, debugging code, and building confidence in their abilities. Through this role, he further strengthened his own understanding of Python and improved his ability to explain technical ideas clearly and effectively.

He has also taken typing courses to improve speed and accuracy, which enhances his efficiency in coding and debugging. Jesse is consistent, detail-oriented, and patient when working through challenging problems. He continues to grow as a programmer with a focus on improving both technical skills and communication as a TA.

他还参加过打字课程，以提高输入速度和准确性，从而在编程和调试过程中更加高效。Jesse 做事认真细致，面对复杂问题时耐心且有条理。目前他仍在持续提升编程能力，并专注于加强技术能力与沟通表达能力，以更好地胜任助教工作。
