在美国付款，经常会遇到不收现金，而只收cashier's check, certified check,或者money order的情形。

Certified Check和Cashier's Check都是在自己开了帐户的银行办理的。收费是＄１５一张。可是如果自己没有银行户头而且想节约开销，就可以去邮局办理money order。money order中文又叫汇票。虽然银行和邮局都可以办理money order,但是银行的收费比邮局高出几块钱不等。

邮局办理money order的话，一千元以内是收取１美元左右的手续费。银行办理money order的话，一千元以内是收取４美元左右的手续费。所以，如果你要办理好几千美元的money order，那就要邮局或者银行开好几张money order给你 （因为一张money order的上限是一千美元）， 这样的话，在邮局办，就可以节省下十几甚至几十美元的手续费了。
